An important skill to know is the loading and lashing of equipment onto a toboggan. Knowing this skill will help you move equipment in the winter bush, and allow you to take heavier equipment winter camping without carrying it on your back. Here is a good method:
Ensure that you take your time and make a neat, secure job of lashing the load. This will ensure that the load does not slip or move while you are on the trail. When you get to your campsite an over-turned toboggan makes a great platform on which to place your stoves for cooking. |
