To rub up conventional signs on Ordnance Survey Maps.

" Night Flying " (see " Indoor Games for Scouts "). At beginning of Night Flying, an activity leader is called out and briefed for symbols.

Construct a magnetic compass and find the North. (Magnetized , needles supplied on demand.)

Tough Game to Let Off Steam :

" Aircraft Carriers."

Patrols in relay formation. At opposite end of field of play a trestle table for each Patrol. At signal, No. I falls flat on his face with arms and legs at full stretch in form of X cross. Four members of Patrol pick him up by his extremities, shoot down the course and "land" him on the table. All return to base and start again until every player has had a turn as airplane.
